Trump puts out mob boss statement threatening Gov DeSantis if he runs against him

Trump continues to have fear of DeSantis on the brain, putting out a statement this morning trying to bully DeSantis from running against him.

In the statement Trump threatens DeSantis that he’ll never win office again if he chooses to run against him because he’ll lose the MAGA vote forever. Trump is also communicating this to his MAGA voters, to never support DeSantis in the future if he doesn’t submit to Trump’s bullying demands.

Here’s what Trump wrote:

Ron DeSantis is a young man who is not doing well against me in the polls, to put it mildly. I believe that if he decides to run for President, which will only hurt and somewhat divide the Republican Party, he will lose the cherished and massive MAGA vote, and never be able to successfully run for office again. If he remains Governor, which is what Florida voters assumed, it would be a whole different story….JUST SAYIN’ – But who knows?

Trump sounds like a cult leader or maybe a mob boss, I’m not sure which is more appropriate. But clearly he and his ego believe that his MAGA voters will do anything he says, including to prevent DeSantis from ever winning office again if he chooses to run against Trump in this primary.

We all remember when Trump famously said in 2016 “I could stand in the middle of 5th Avenue and shoot somebody and I wouldn’t lose voters.” He truly believes all of his MAGA votes will say ‘how high’ when he says to jump.

I know there are some hardcore Trump supporters out there that might go along with something like this, but I really don’t think that most would. Many of the people who support Trump do so because they believe he’s the better candidate, not because he’s their messiah or cult leader.
